The Buzz - February Update

Dear Sinclair Families:

A sincere thank you to our School Advisory Council who organized and supervised last week's K to Grade ¾ Dance! The primary students grooved for a solid hour and had a great time!  Donations for the Kashechewan First Nation, that were collected at this dance, will be combined with donations from the upcoming Grade 4/5 to 8 dance on Thursday, February 12^th. Please sign up using School Day to give permission for your child to attend the J/8 dance! This will be posted by Wednesday!

February is Black History Month. The 2026 focus is 30 Years of Black History: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations - From Nation Builders to Tomorrow's Visionaries.

Staff, depending on grade level, will use resources provided by LDSB and/or provincial/federal government to engage students in discussions and activities that align with this year's focus.

There is a School Council Meeting on Wednesday at 6 pm. Please join us. Meetings are usually about one hour in length. Child care provided by intermediate students is available for school-aged children.

Ms. Beth is starting a K to 8 Kindness Club initiative on Day 3! She will ask interested students to sign up to join the club and spread kindness to all!
