The Weekly Buzz - September 8th, 2025
We had a great start to the 2025/26 school year! Thank you for your support!
Our school's organization with 10 classes has been approved by the central staffing committee. Within this organization, we have been asked to create a larger JK/SK with an ECE and a smaller JK/SK without an ECE. This means that we will have two JK/SK classes, but Ms. Hodgson will be leaving Sinclair to join another site in her role as an ECE. We wish her all the best and hope to work again with her soon! Ms. St-James will have the smaller JK/SK with 15 students. Families of students who will move from Ms. St-James' class to the JK/SK with Ms. Wilson, Ms. Kekewich and Ms. Carli will be contacted by Ms. Closs. Change in student placement begins on Monday, September 15th. We will facilitate transition activities to make this move as smooth as possible.
Please save the date and join us for our drop-in Open House on Thursday, September 25th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. We will also be show casing a school wide art project "Not a Stick". We can't wait to see you there!
School Council Elections take place on Wednesday, September 24th at 6 pm. All are welcome! Please consider adding your voice to this important partnership. By attending you do not have to put your name forward for a specific role in the new council. Following elections, the first council meeting will be on Wednesday, October 1st at 6 pm.

Looking Ahead: Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope Continues at Sinclair - September 2025
Our Terry Fox Run/Walk will take place on Thursday, September 25th at 2pm. We are very excited to take part in this annual tradition that supports cancer research while building school spirit. Families who plan to join us should let their classroom teachers know in advance. We will be going to Jorene Park and/or on the primary yard.

Thank you for packing nut-free snacks! Please communicate with teachers before sending any treats in for your student's class.
